Faro Suites and Conference Center

The pool and restaurant are nice, and the women working in the restaurant were kind. But the rooms were cramped, and my small family of four couldn't fit comfortably with four bags. The room smelled musty and moldy, and my daughter got a rash and a headache. The general manager was supposed to contact me, but two days went by with no word. The hallways need updating, and the railing isn't safe, see pics. The vibe felt very strange and not family oriented. We didn't see any other families, just older guys smoking right outside rooms in the hallway. There's no designated smoking area, so if you have kids, expect to walk through smoky hallways. My daughter was swimming at 9:30 a.m. and was kicked out because the pool guy needed to clean it then. AVOID IT AT ALL TIMES SPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE FAMILY.

The hotel is handy for nearby sites and excursions, but you'll need a rental car or taxis to get around from here. Room cleaning was very minimal: they emptied the trash and left fresh towels, but didn't restock personal or hotel items. They didn't wipe surfaces, and the bed wasn't properly made, with the comforter just tossed over it and no fresh sheets. The restaurant isn't affiliated with the hotel.

We watched the Superbowl by the pool, and the room has an ocean view. My girlfriend has been lying on the bed staring out the windows as I type this. I took this trip to surprise her for her birthday, and we're debating whether we even want to go home. The drinks are strong, good, and well priced. Pancakes, bacon, and mimosas were to die for. Her actual birthday is tomorrow, and if she asks to stay another day, we will. I've got so much more to say, but Google might not let me type it all!

The pool area was really nice, relaxing, and had a good atmosphere. Our room was clean, though the bathroom walls were dirty. We had a good stay, and the restaurant staff were friendly and very attentive.
