If you're surfing and have money and a family, the location is great. There's a convenient restaurant, and I slept quietly. I left my expensive noise-canceling headphones behind, but they found them and mailed them back, which was a nice bonus. No negatives from me, and I'd stay again.

The staff were really nice, and the rooms feel modern and comfortable. Our room, number 4, was only five meters from a rooster coop on the property, though, and the chickens were up at 5 a.m. every day. Breakfast was limited to two options, either two eggs or pancakes, with juice or coffee; both were very good. A fruit plate and coffee cost an extra $5 each. The open-air restaurant served good food, but could use a bit more cleaning. You can see the ocean from the rooftop patio. Walking to the beach isn't practical unless you're okay with a mile along a road with no sidewalk or shoulder. Better to drive 1.5 miles east on 413 past Jack's Shack to Sandy Beach, which has a cool vibe.
