Vista del Mar Apartments

Very clean, quiet, and close to the beach. The rental apartment has all the amenities you’d expect, and I’ll definitely rent here again.

The apartment itself is spacious and pretty standard for Rincón, though a bit old. Nothing special about it, apart from its location in a beautiful area with very nice people. The worst part for me was being treated like a fool over a $30 charge. A few days after we left, I found a charge on my card that I hadn’t authorized. When I asked about it, they said the white bath towels were “dirty” and needed replacing. We left the apartment in perfect condition, and I’m sure they would have found another excuse to charge me if it hadn’t been the towels. There was no one to greet us or see in person, and they don’t change towels or anything else during your stay. The accommodation wouldn’t refund me, but Booking.com customer service handled the situation and compensated me for what happened.

The stove had no gas when I needed to use it. Also, a week after our stay, they started charging us for stained towels, even though we checked and saw the stains were already there when we used them. I’d advise anyone renting this inn to do an inspection with the owner both at check-in and check-out, which we weren’t able to do. Next time, I’ll be more careful and thorough about the place.
