There’s no private room here, just dorm style. The twin mattresses have protective plastic covers that are extremely noisy. On the plus side, there are several shared spaces, including futons, a TV, a large table for hanging out, and an outdoor backyard area. The place was relatively clean, with good water pressure and a nice shower. It was hard to find, and I had to call to get talked through the directions.

The backyard hammocks are perfect for an afternoon siesta, and the staff are really friendly. The building is beautiful and VERY clean. It’s just three blocks from the beach, with a supermarket three minutes away and bus stops on the next block. The airport is 10 minutes away, and you can rent bikes to ride to Condado and Old San Juan.

The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi works well throughout the place. It feels more like a homestay in a small villa than a hostel. There are dorms, but lots of room and a modern kitchen. There’s also a TV with Netflix and a PlayStation for a lazy day.

You need to book well ahead most of the time, and there’s a good reason for that. This place is worth it. Perfect.
