The place is gorgeous and has 10/10 energy. It worked really well for us, and although we weren't in the center of Old San Juan, we were very close. There was great coffee, a Walgreens, and anything else we needed nearby. We had a phenomenal time at DW La Paz.

The apartment was beautiful, convenient, and came with everything we needed, including coffee, tea, and dishes. Service through the virtual front desk was excellent. They responded quickly and were very helpful. Definitely recommend it!

My girlfriend and I stayed in room one and room three. On the first evening, I killed twenty plus mosquitoes, and we got bitten over 30 times while sleeping. We switched to a fumigated room for the second night, but still got bitten at least 25 more times. I had a severe histamine reaction and nearly ended up in the hospital, so we left after two nights instead of staying the two more we had booked. DW refused a refund for the unused nights, saying mosquitoes can "become more active during certain times of the year". If you're not okay with a couple dozen mosquitoes in your room while you sleep, don't stay here.

PAZ 2 is a real gem, with beach gear, kitchen basics, towels, and all that. It has more space than the pictures suggest, and the outdoor shower is worth using. You're within easy walking distance of lots of places to eat, dance, and explore, and the beach is an easy 7 min walk. The neighborhood is chill. A few things to know: when you use water in the building, there's a loud humming noise, presumably from the hot water tank. Hot water doesn't last long, and once it's gone, it stays kind of lukewarm, though tolerable. Street parking is free if you rent a car. Keep the patio door or window closed because of mosquitoes. They can't confirm a late checkout until the morning you leave, so don't plan around having one.
