Hotel Puerto Valdes

Joseph made sure we had what we needed from the moment we arrived, and helped us feel safe, comfortable, and at home. He was attentive and accommodating, with genuine care and professionalism. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the hotel.

The location is hard to beat, near Old San Juan, Condado, and plenty of food spots, yet the hotel itself stays peaceful. Parking was easy too, which is a rare win around there. Hotel Puerto Valdes surprised me in all the right ways. The rooms were spotless, modern, and roomy for San Juan, with comfortable beds, strong showers, and AC that worked perfectly. The whole place felt calm, clean, and upscale. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, quick, friendly, and professional without hovering.

The receptionist was polite and very helpful, which I appreciated. The room, though, didn't look nearly as clean or attractive as the photos. There were stains and mold all over, and it smelled like sewage. Street noise was unbearable, and the AC was so loud it sounded like a plane overhead. For what we paid, the stay wasn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend it if you're expecting a four-star hotel.

We especially appreciated Joseph and Jector, whose warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel valued. Melania and Mikael were kind and attentive too, and everyone was ready to help with a great attitude. The housekeeping team kept everything spotless and made sure we had what we needed. We felt welcome and at ease at Hotel Puerto Valdés, where it seemed like people genuinely cared about our stay. The restaurant meals were fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, and every one we had was enjoyable. My wife and I had a great experience and would gladly return and recommend it.
