San Juan Bautista Vacation Rentals

San Juan Bautista Vacation Rentals will hold guests' funds, in my experience. Martin is very nice until you check out, then he'll contact you and say there was a problem with the room so he can keep the deposit, as the owner supposedly tells him to do. Please be advised. Former employee Frank.

We spent Christmas and New Year's here as a family, and it was amazing. The apartment was spotless, beautiful, new, sleek, and modern, just like the photos. The owner was so nice, and Martin was great when we arrived. The beach is across the street, and the burger place was great. I'd rent this place again and again. I love Puerto Rico! At the public beach, I told a man I liked his T-shirt. He took it off, handed it to me as a gift, and said, "Just be sure to come back to Puerto Rico again." I love the pride Puerto Ricans have in their land, how welcoming they are to tourists, and how much they value family life.

We stayed at Bautista, 9 San Juan Bautista, San Juan 00901, in August 2015. After booking through Expedia, we got an email asking us to pay a separate $200 security deposit through PayPal, requested by Martin, the apartment representative. Days after checkout, he emailed saying the stovetop was cracked and that he'd send us the repair cost once a repairman quoted it. The strange part is that we never used the stove. With so many great restaurants in Puerto Rico, we only used the apartment to sleep. I feel I was scammed out of the deposit and regret not being more cautious. I hope this doesn't keep me away from the beautiful island, but it has certainly saddened my memories.

Martin handed us the keys and showed us around. The place was nice and very clean, all in all a great place to stay :)
