The rooms were much smaller than they looked in the photos, and neither the sofa nor the apartment felt comfortable. The walls in the bedroom and bathroom had mold, and the Wi-Fi wasn't working when we arrived. We found a single bed sheet on the double bed we had chosen, duvets without covers, and several pillows without pillowcases. The apartment is in an old building in central Abrantes. On the last day, the cleaner came in without knocking less than 10 minutes after checkout time. Then, while I was having lunch, the owner kept calling me. When I answered, he shouted that I had no right to complain to Booking about our awful stay. He was extremely rude. The owner's son contacted us later, was polite and understanding, and apologized both for the mold and for his father's behavior. I've traveled a lot and never had such an unpleasant experience, especially in my own city. We didn't feel at all comfortable because of the mold and poor conditions, and we felt completely disrespected when someone entered without knocking. The owner was disrespectful too, and didn't offer any compensation for our terrible stay. I don't recommend it.

The apartment itself is very pleasant, though the entrance to the building looks unwelcoming and even made us feel uneasy about personal safety. There’s no elevator, so it isn’t suitable for older people.

I was impressed by the quality and the way the accommodation is organized. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well arranged. The managers were kind and attentive, and the fridge had basic things we needed. The service was excellent, and I felt very welcome. Friends who were happy with their stay recommended you to me, and I’ll be recommending you to others for the same reason. Customer satisfaction really is the best advertising. Pet friendly, and very central. We could easily walk to the city centre and all the tourist sights.
