Louis and his wife were wonderful hosts and helped me with everything I needed. Dona Amélia is a really special place, an old mansion kept in superb shape, with contemporary old furniture that looks great and gives the house its own character. The owners restored and decorated it with so much care for every detail. Staying there feels a bit like stepping into a museum or travelling back in time. If you get the chance, stay there.

We arrived without a booking, and they had one self-catering unit left. They got it cleaned up quickly for us. The house is amazing, and the owners were so helpful. I'd happily recommend it 😁

The place itself was very nice, but I had a really bad experience with the taxi service and getting around. They should leave some taxi business cards in the rooms.

Lovely house, and the people are just as lovely. Don't miss out on staying here.
