Land of Alandroal

I came away feeling like I’d had one of my best hotel stays in ages. The team were so attentive and caring, and they seemed to notice every little detail, always willing to do a bit more. Land of Andrual was just right for switching off and getting some proper rest. From arrival to the end, it went beyond what I expected. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

The pool area was a real highlight, peaceful and inviting, with lovely service from the pool bar. The young man working there deserves a mention for the genuine care and effort he put into each interaction. Land of Alandroal has a clear sense of purpose. You can tell there’s real passion behind creating a place where people can unwind, disconnect, and enjoy the good things around them. Its setting lets you appreciate the beauty of Alentejo in comfort, whether you’re after a quiet break or time to reflect. The property blends rustic character with modern elegance, and the design feels considered throughout. The restaurant has an impressive selection of regional wines, and both the menu and setting feel deliberate. It’s a lovely find for anyone who values peace, quality, and an authentic feel. I make a point of coming back when I’m in the area.

The food was lovely, but the wait was ages and it cost a lot. Wine prices felt outrageous for Alentejo. The facilities weren’t great either, with cold rooms and cold water.

We were looked after so warmly throughout our stay. The staff clearly care about all the little things that can make such a difference, and there were thoughtful touches along the way that left us with lovely memories. The property is remote and peaceful, a gorgeous setting for enjoying what Alentejo has to offer. We had a fantastic time and hope to come back soon. Highly recommended.
