I left feeling glad I hadn’t rented an apartment. The way I was treated did not feel like a pleasant host at all, more like dealing with money makers, estate agents, and business people. I had personally booked for November 2018 in September and already paid 100 Euros. On October 5, I had to cancel for important reasons and asked either for a refund or to use that amount for perhaps two nights in November. The lady was busy on her phone and computer, more or less ignored me, asked the same thing two or three times, and said she needed to ask her husband. Then she refused to return the money, saying the reservation, staff, gardener, and other costs were too much.

We were at the beach in just two minutes, with restaurants and bars all around and the busy old town only a five-minute walk away. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful, and the housekeeper did a lovely job cleaning our room every day. We had a fantastic stay. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a big balcony, table, and chairs, plus a breathtaking sea view. The modern bathroom was spotless, and the room had a fridge, kettle, hairdryer, and good air conditioning. We could borrow a parasol for the beach. The common areas are beautiful, with a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely ground-floor terrace with sunbeds. The Wi-Fi was good, though we barely used it. Check-in was easy, and I can’t recommend the place enough.

The ocean view was great, but the check-in was awful. No one was there to meet us, and after traveling all day we waited 40 minutes to get inside. The AC broke and leaked across the floor, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all.

AMAZING LOCATION, and we even had beach towels. The room was clean, the balcony was nice, and the air conditioning worked well. Staff were lovely and really helpful.

I didn’t realize I’d booked a room without a sea view, but it was no problem to change it, even though I think the hotel was booked. So glad wee booked this wonderful place. I highly recommend it, and I’ll definitely stay here again if I return to the Algarve.
