Hotel Apartamento Brisa Sol

The bar had top notch cocktails, with a huge range available on request. During happy hour they were €5.50, and €7.50 at regular times. There was a good choice of wines and spirits, standard beers, and only Super Bock on tap, sadly. Live sport was on too. We stayed four nights, and from the first moment we got a warm welcome. Reception were extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating for me, my partner and our son, who needed a cot. They provided one at no extra charge. Our room had its own heating and air conditioning, both of which worked brilliantly and helped us get a few good nights' sleep. The beds were comfortable, and the room was impeccably clean and looked after every day. With a two year old, we really appreciated never coming back to a mess. The cleaning staff were pleasant and always had a friendly face. The hotel had little to no faults for us. It was superbly priced, the room rate was very reasonable, and everything felt worth what we paid.

For my birthday trip to Portugal, I had a lovely stay at Brisa Sol. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our room had all the basics and was very clean. The noise wasn't bad at all, especially compared with other hotels we've stayed in around here, which were quite noisy.

We stayed in room 401 for a four-day November break, room only, and had lovely sunset views over the sea. The rooms are well maintained and the service staff are amazing. Plenty of places were still open for food. The pool was a little cold at that time of year, but the indoor pool was lovely and warm. The location is great, with a supermarket right next door, the old town about 750 yards away and the strip just under a mile. There's a strong 5G signal, and it's only 2.5 hours from the UK. We love Albufeira and think it's worth a stay.

We asked several times before arriving for a room with a large bed and explained that we were celebrating our anniversary. The hotel assured us they'd take the request into account, but we arrived to find two separate beds. Reception said they'd sort it the next day, but nothing changed. They offered another room, but it was worse, next to a street where cars drove all night. We stayed in our first-floor room with a poor view instead. A loud air conditioning or ventilation system ran day and night, making it very hard to rest. Communication was difficult, and the hotel hardly ever replied to emails. The service was very disappointing. We still have three days left of the stay, but already know we'll never come back. We can't recommend this hotel.
