Cheerfulway Minichoro

Carlos at the front desk was amazing and helped us whenever we needed something during our four-night stay. Cheerful Way Minichoro was good value for money and well located. We'd definitely come again.

The pool area had a nice vibe and good ice cream, and the balcony was a great place to relax. We stayed five nights in a two-bedroom apartment and were pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews. It was clean, with nice big beds and a cosy bathroom. The receptionist was lovely and made us feel safe. When we had trouble with the lock, he fixed it straight away. The only thing we didn't like was the loud British boys staying there, who tried to prank us on the first night.

The one plus for me was being within walking distance of the new strip area. Otherwise, our week there in May 2025 was a mess. The place is very outdated, and even the staff will tell you that. Receptionists were rude and didn't care about complaints. The lift was out for a day and a half while we were on the 6th floor, with no apology. A loud knocking from some system woke us early, the bathroom smelled, and the shower sprayed as if it were blocked. Our room had no ceiling lights and no plugs by the bed. The lamps worked on and off, and door handles were falling off. The pool was filthy and rarely cleaned, with chipped tiles and broken concrete. Some broken tiles in the pool hurt to stand on. The kids' pool and pool showers weren't working, and several sun loungers were broken. Cheap prices brought loud groups of young people partying. Don't bring children here or stay if you're looking to relax by the pool.

The cockroaches were the worst part, probably because the waste bin had no lid. Staff reacted dismissively and just gave us a can of bug spray, leaving us to deal with it ourselves. I found that disappointing. There were plenty of other problems too: lights didn't work, windows weren't secure, doors were faulty, and the elevators were cramped and broken. The pool was dirty, the kitchen tiny, and staff rude. There was no air conditioning, the furniture was outdated, and both the walls and sheets were dirty. I believe this hotel should genuinely be shut down.
