Cheerfulway Oura Village Garden Apartamentos

We paid for ten days, but found the hotel closed when we arrived. It was complicated trying to work out where we were meant to go. This hotel is bankrupt.

Absolutely appalling.

There were nine of us, eight friends and me, sharing an apartment with only seven small beds. We also didn't have enough towels for everyone. The promised daily cleaning came just once during our seven-day stay, and only after we insisted. There were leaks on the ground floor and insects in the kitchen. The staff's service was appalling and slow, and their attitude at the property felt intimidating. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone wanting a peaceful, safe vacation.

I'm completely disappointed, despite never having stayed at these facilities. I called the tourist complex to ask about prices, even though I already had the information from Booking. I thought it might be better to deal directly with the hotel, as I usually do for my whole family. The person who answered at 8:30 in the morning had a Spanish accent, rushed me off the call without explaining anything or letting me speak properly, said I had to send an email, and hung up. I sent the email, but got no reply after five days. When I called the complex again, they said I had to wait. The truth is, in our own country you have to be a foreigner to be treated differently. Needless to say, I will always describe cheerfulway as a bad example for tourism in Portugal.
