Glenridge Albufeira Beach and Golf Resort

We got a brilliant price for the one-bedroom apartment, and the location and facilities were both good. The showerhead was loose and the bed squeaked a lot, so a bit of maintenance would help. Still, it was a very nice place to stay and I’d come back.

The apartments were spacious and recently renovated, with a fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, toaster and stick blender. Ours was close to the pool, playground and coffee and wine bar, and there was covered private parking nearby. Ground-floor apartments also have a little terrace and garden with green grass year-round. Algarve weather is another plus, with summer temperatures lasting into late September and longer days than much of Europe. One of my best apartment stays in recent years.

We had a great stay at Glenridge Albufeira in May 2018, and the price for the quality was very good. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the beach, and every apartment has its own parking space. The WiFi only worked near the pool, which was the main downside. Inside, the apartments were clean, roomy enough for a family and comfortably furnished, with a complete kitchen. They were cleaned daily, and the staff were really friendly and attentive. I’d definitely recommend it.

The reception closed early in the low season, but the staff were friendly and we got things sorted out. We stayed in a quiet, cosy place with clean rooms and good conditions. Having a house in a small condominium gave the kids room to play while we kept an eye on them from the kitchen or living room. The sofa bed was small and not very comfortable, so we ended up setting it up on the floor. It worked for the kids.
