The owner, Vass, stayed up to meet us after our flight and transfer were delayed, and he was a lovely, very welcoming host. House of Arch is a great place to stay. We spent Christmas here and found it peaceful, even though it’s right in the middle of the Old Town. The big terrace looks over the town and gets morning sun. The beach is only a couple of minutes away, with bars nearby and shells to pick up along the way. Take a deckchair down for a relaxing afternoon, or head there early for a run along the shore at low tide and a beautiful sunrise. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around even in winter, including a superb curry house directly downstairs. The apartment is spacious and well equipped. The large kitchen has everything you need, a big fridge with freezer space, and a roomy oven with a gas hob. Hot water was good, and heating and air conditioning had recently been installed throughout. There’s lots of closet space, comfortable beds and spare bedding. The Wi-Fi is first-rate, and each bedroom has a smart TV.

The two-bedroom apartment is nicely finished, with big rooms and multiple heating and AC units. There are large-screen TVs throughout, plus a roomy living area with a sofa bed and a full-size dining space. The main bedroom is larger and has plenty of closet space. Shops are less than a minute away, and the beach is close too.

Getting there was easy thanks to self check-in, so we didn’t have to hurry. The apartment was spotless, spacious and right in town, just a few minutes from the shops and Old Square. It’s about a seven-minute walk to the beach through a really impressive tunnel. The price was very reasonable for what we got, more than I expected. The owner was available if we needed local advice. I believe air conditioning was going to be installed for 2019. We’re already arranging another stay next year.

The apartment was comfortable and clean, with a lovely view from the big balcony, which also has a BBQ grill. It had everything visitors might need, including a washer, microwave and dishwasher, plus Netflix, mobile Wi-Fi, beach towels and chairs. Vas was easy to reach and very responsive. When we arrived, he walked us through the apartment and took us around the area so we’d know where to find basic services like the grocery store, pharmacy and taxi stands. The apartment itself is great, but the host is what made the stay exceptional. House of Arch is in a great spot in Old Town, close to the beach, about a two-minute walk, and near shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Thanks, Vas!
