Kiss Apartamentos

We booked the Hotel Kiss in Albufeira from Sunday, July 7 to Sunday, July 14, 2024, but left after two nights, Sunday and Monday. We couldn’t sleep because people in the next room were drunk, shouting and playing loud music all night, even with earplugs. On the second night, an alarm rang from 6 to 8 in the morning, about two hours. There were cockroaches too, and the place was very dirty. We told the receptionist how unhappy we were, and he said we could leave and would get a refund. At 2 PM we called again to confirm, and he said the refund would come if we messaged booking and put the keys in the fast check out box. We did everything he asked. After paying for another place, we called again, and the receptionist said he couldn’t do anything about the refund. He now has the keys in the safe box and can rent the place out again. This feels like a scam and is very unfair. Please don't stay here.

The receptionist was very helpful, and it’s close to the beach and the strip. But during our ten nights in June, the room was never cleaned; I had to ask for toilet paper and towels. The air conditioning barely worked, and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable. I asked for another key so I could go out early while my wife slept in, but they refused, even though a key is needed to keep the electricity on. The place is badly managed, and I’d never return.

A nightmare.

It’s close to Rua da Oura and the beaches, and the location is great if you’re after nightlife. For getting a good night’s rest, though, it’s less suitable, since people returning from parties make a lot of noise in the middle of the night. I also came across some cockroaches, which I really didn’t like.
