We arrived at 12:30 on 13/09/23 and had to wait five hours to check in. The food was very basic, and not everything is covered by the all-inclusive package. The pool areas were always full, with never enough sun beds. The room was very spacious, but access for people with disabilities was poor. There are so many stairs, you need to be a mountain goat to manage them. Reception staff didn't seem very interested in offering advice or help, especially the young lady I dealt with. I paid over £3/500 to come to Portugal with my family for my 60th birthday. It was our first time, and it will be the last. I wasn't impressed at all.

The food was terrible. The shower backed up and flooded the bathroom, and a wall socket was coming loose from the wall.

The noise was a lot, and even using the Wi-Fi was a hassle: it cut off after 30 minutes, then you had to wait an hour to get back online. The pool was another problem, with people reserving spots by putting towels down or arriving at dawn. For a four-star hotel, this was awful. The facilities looked nothing like the published photos, and cleanliness was poor. They only changed towels and cleaned the room once a week; anything more cost extra. We won't return or recommend it.

Even in December it felt warm and pleasant here, and the New Year's Eve fireworks were fantastic. Praia da Oura Muthu Club Apartment is a great hotel, and I'd happily stay again.

The rooms were nice, but meals were very poor. Getting into the dining room and then to the buffet meant dealing with huge queues.
