S o Rafael Beach Flat

The house is fully equipped, close to the beach and about 10 minutes from the town center. The restaurant is very good and inexpensive, and the food is good. But we had a terrible time in the heat, especially the children, because the house has no air conditioning. We booked through Booking.com, then a few days before arrival were emailed demanding €400 before check-in. They said we wouldn’t be allowed in without paying, and that the deposit would be returned after a 15-day inspection of the apartment. We did get a partial refund after 15 days, but not the whole amount. We complained and waited more than a month for a reply, which finally came with photos. It’s appalling and sad how easy it is to take money from people. I feel robbed.

The one decent thing was the view from the terrace. During the five days I stayed, the apartment was never cleaned, and there weren’t even supplies for us to clean the floor ourselves. Every day, 10 to 15 more moths appeared from a closed room. You could see them through a window from the living room. Kill ten and another ten would come out. I don’t understand how the owners or cleaning staff could miss so many bugs.

I read the reviews and they were all excellent, but one very negative review surprised me. I went back to check the place, and it must have been a mistake. I also confirmed that the photos weren’t of this accommodation. The place is still excellent quality. Don’t hesitate, you’ll love it 🥰🥰🥰

The area is very quiet, and there was always somewhere to park right outside. The owner was attentive and available throughout. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with excellent beds. There’s a very good restaurant by the pool. Nearby beaches are beautiful, and one is about a 10-minute walk away. There are other lovely ones five minutes away by car.
