Vila Olímpica

It felt like being at home.

A little pricey for this apartment, and it’s a bit dirty. The showers in both bathrooms look like they’re about to fall off. The door handles are awful, you could twist your wrists trying to open them. And the yard’s grill grates are just for show, they’ve been rotting away since last century.

For what we paid, the service and condition weren’t good enough. The place was poorly maintained, with dim interior lighting and lots of bulbs blown. Only the freezer part of the fridge worked. The toaster shorted out. They replaced it with an identical one that could only toast two slices at a time, and then had to cool down before you could use it again. There was no dish soap, and the toilet paper was never topped up, so we bought our own. The wooden windows didn’t fit properly either, with about a finger’s width of space between the panes.

I’ve been before and I’m going again this year. The pool is enormous, and there’s a big play area for children.
