Villa Albufeira

I do not recommend this place. I booked by mistake for June instead of August and spotted the error shortly afterward. On June 19, the same day the reservation was cancelled, I contacted both the property and Booking.com right away. The property never answered. It felt as if they deliberately waited until after checkout and payment had gone through so they wouldn’t have to address it or offer a solution. There was no flexibility or empathy, and none of my messages got a response. Booking.com also tried to reach them and got no cooperation. It’s a shame, since I had planned to stay there for my August summer vacation. This caused unnecessary stress and financial loss. If you need help or support, they simply ignore you.

The company communicated very well, and I’d rent here again. The apartment is right by the old town in a very central spot. It can be a bit loud until around 2am, and a few parts of the apartment could do with an update.

The location was good. The rest was not: the boiler didn’t work, there was a cockroach, and insects came up through the bathtub drain. The owner was rude, the place wasn’t very clean, and it was noisy. There was no sea view, despite what was advertised.

These are very nice apartments, and I’d use them again. They’re near the old town. The only downside is that they switch the escalators off, so you have to walk up or pay 5 euros for a taxi.
