Wonderful View - Quinta Da Colina C8

Pretty good.

The rooms were spotless and carefully designed, and the staff were incredibly attentive. Quinta da Collina is a beautiful, well-kept building, and the rest of our stay was good. Two things let it down for me: breakfast and the pool. Breakfast, or "pequeno almoço," was disappointing. There was mostly coffee, lots of bread, a few slices of cheese, and fruit that wasn’t very fresh. When I asked for more cheese, they wouldn’t give me any. Eggs cost 7 euros, which seemed almost ridiculous given the price of eggs, especially in this area. The location is fairly isolated, with nothing nearby, so finding another place for breakfast is difficult. I expected much better breakfast service. The pool is apart from the main building and seemed neglected. It’s isolated, not well maintained, and has exposed cables and pipes, as the photos show. Maybe they’re thinking of selling the property, which could explain the lack of care in these smaller details.

Absolutely wonderful. I’d love to live there.
