10/10
The two-bedroom villa had loads of space, a fully equipped kitchen and a good-sized garden for the kids. The communal pool was great, not too deep, and there was a little paddling pool and a playground too. Comporta is lovely, and the reception staff were friendly. There's also a small supermarket onsite. We had no internet in the villa, though cell reception was very good, so it worked out. In low season they only clean the villas twice a week, which didn't make much sense to me.

8/10
The unit was spacious but dated, and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable. The complex itself felt clean, secure and peaceful. The mini-market was surprisingly well stocked, almost like a full grocery store, with a decent range of toiletries and other odds and ends. Getting to town or the beach meant either a short drive or a long walk.

6/10
There's a small, handy supermarket and a swimming pool, and the village center is within walking distance. The house itself is basic, as are the cleaning services, and the beach isn't nearby. For what you get, it was very expensive compared with the alternatives.

Comporta's center is about a five-minute walk away, and the beach is a five-minute drive. Great location and facilities.
