The river views were amazing, day or night, and I loved that the hotel supports local small businesses by giving guests vouchers for breakfast at local cafés. I spent several days in Alcacer at this little gem. The lobby was warm and welcoming, a nice place to catch up on emails before heading out. My room was nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable, and it was great to have coffee and bottled water there. The staff were attentive and friendly, and gave me recommendations for places to eat and see. I’ll be back!

The staff were fun and friendly, took care of everything I needed and gave me great tips for my adventures. I had a wonderful stay in Alcacer, with a great river view and easy access to all the good spots. They kept my coffee and water topped up, and gave me vouchers for breakfast at a couple of local cafés.

After other nearby hotels were full, we needed a room for one night. Shaye welcomed us at reception and gave us room 31, with a river view. It had been newly decorated and was perfect for our stay. Alcazar was quiet on that Tuesday night, but Shaye was helpful with local tips and sent us to Quintal da Liga. Definitely an asset to the hotel. We also got a 10 euro voucher to use at the café downstairs while the room was being prepared, and another 10 euro voucher for breakfast.

AMAZING SERVICE! We only stayed one short night in a double room, but the room was so tiny it should have been a single. It was listed as a double, but had two beds right next to each other, so we had to sleep on separate parts of the bed because the mattress was soft. They could easily make it more like a double by putting a big topper over both beds. I’d recommend that for the future. We didn’t have much choice since it was the only room available within a 30 km radius, but the price wasn’t reasonable for what we got. Even though we didn’t meet in person, Shaye’s service amazed me. They hosted us like a king and queen. Big regards to Shaye, that’s five-star hotel service! We’d love to return, but sadly not at that price.
