Casa Alfazema, Quinta Carmo - Alcobaça - Nazaré

The hosts were helpful and easy to reach, and the house was really comfortable with good amenities. It’s a calm, peaceful place, with activities available on the property and convenient access to nearby spots. Quinta do Carmo is a lovely place to spend a few days with family.

We spent nine days at Casa da Joana with two other couples, and it was a fantastic, peaceful break. There was loads of room and comfort for dinners, barbecues, sunshine, and time by the private pool. Jorge showed us around when we arrived and kept an eye on the property and our well-being, while Sandra shared useful ideas for places to visit and things to do nearby. Pipa and Gil, the dogs, kept us company and made the stay even nicer. Quinta do Carmo has two huge areas: Casa da Joana, a large four-bedroom house with its own pool, and the chalet area with a saltwater pool. I’d recommend Casa da Joana and would definitely come back.

There’s so much to enjoy around the Quinta: a fireplace, green spaces, a volleyball net, ping-pong, a football pitch, lawn, barbecue, outdoor tables for work or meals, and a pool table. The Quinta is beautifully maintained, and the house was clean, thoughtfully arranged, and had everything we could want. The hosts were incredibly attentive throughout. The animals are very sweet, especially for families with children. We’d absolutely come back.

The pool was wonderful, and the stable was really pleasant and attractive. We had such a good time, and the house and grounds are both lovely. Thanks to Jorge, Maurice, Sandra, and Paula for all the care, from welcoming us to suggesting interesting places to visit. Their kindness meant a lot. Even the weather, which had been forecast to be very rainy and windy, turned out well. Gil and Pipa were with us the whole time and kept the kids entertained. A big hug, and see you soon.
