Mayla Surf House

The house has a relaxed feel, and the volunteers were friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped, and there's a full kitchen if you want to prepare meals. It's set in the countryside, with calming views even when clouds make the scenery feel a bit mysterious. Camila and Atamay made our first week at a surf camp really enjoyable with clear, easy communication and great hosting. We both took five days of lessons. The instructors were knowledgeable and patient, and helped us improve. The equipment was great, especially for people new to surfing who want to try it out. A 10/10 holiday, highly recommended!

When I arrived very early, with my knee bothering me, I called Camila and she let me come inside. I had only booked the day before and had asked for a bottom bed, which I got. Gonzalo opened the door and made me feel more at home than I do in my own house. I really appreciate this kind of care and service. The place is nice and clean, with lots of room in the living room, kitchen and covered patio area, plus a very nice swimming pool. Thank you, Camila and Gonzalo. It was wonderful meeting people who made me feel so comfortable.

The small groups made learning to surf at Mayla Surf House really enjoyable. The team gave us personal pointers, and splitting complete beginners from people with a few days or more of experience helped us progress faster. Corrado, John, and Atamay were fantastic teachers and cheered us on every time we fell or crashed. I'd absolutely do it again and highly recommend it! A tip: if they ask what matters most to check in the morning, say the WAVES! ;)

A well equipped guest house with private rooms, dorms and a pool, and a great base for beach days from Sagres to sines. It's a nice place to wind down at night after exploring the beaches. The lovely couple who own it will make you want to stay longer, we guarantee it! @wanderlustaussies
