We stayed two nights while hiking the Fishermans Trail. André was helpful at check-in and recommended restaurants, and bicycles were available. Breakfast was fantastic, with fresh fruit, juice, different breads, cake, and eggs. The room at the back was on the small side but okay, with a nice shower and amenities. Monte do Cardal feels like a little oasis in the middle of nowhere. Having a car is a luxury, but taxis and Uber make it manageable too. The compound has lovely gardens and a pool, and is best enjoyed in good weather. If you can, choose a pool-facing room for a sunny terrace.

I visited in November, during the off-season, and Alexandre kindly upgraded me to a larger cabin. Breakfast was included, and I had a very pleasant stay at this beautiful resort. The owner and host was really friendly. You do need to rent a car to get around the area and travel to the airport.

We had a garden villa and another bedroom, and everything from the furniture to the pool felt lovely and made with care. It was peaceful, and we almost always had the pool to ourselves. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was fantastic: pancakes, eggs any way you wanted, cakes, fruit, and lots of different breads. The laundry service was really good, too. For exploring beaches like Odeceixe and Bordeira by car, this is a great place to stay. Best hotel in Portugal! We’ll be back. Thank you for everything!

Quiet surroundings, amazing wild beaches nearby, and a beautiful pool. The place itself is lovely, the breakfast is great, and the staff are nice.
