The buffet breakfast had plenty of tasty options, and the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. The hotel is beautifully decorated in an Arabian-Persian style, and there's a small balcony for some fresh air. There is a fridge in the room, but it's hidden inside the wardrobe. We only spotted it as we were leaving, so a sign on the door would help.
The pool area is clean, though a little old, and there's a handy little bar for drinks and snacks by the pool. Breakfast is simple but good, with nice ingredients and a good start to the day. Staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the firm beds are comfortable. There's air-conditioning, and the beaches are just a few minutes away by car. Sound carries easily from the halls, though. One night, loud bass from a nearby bar kept thumping until 3 a.m., making it hard to sleep. I'd ask for a second-floor room that doesn't face the pool.
It's a handy central base for people walking the trails. The hotel is older, but the rooms are clean and spacious, breakfast is a generous buffet, and there's a great pool. It's secure, too. Although it's out of town by the main road, the shutters keep the road noise down.
The staff were super friendly, and I slept well in a comfortable bed. The room was nice and the shower was great. Breakfast was filling with lots of variety. I had a great stay and would happily come back.
We hadn't seen architecture quite like this at the other places we stayed in Portugal. Our room had air-conditioning, breakfast was included and good, and the beach was a short drive away.
