Stay away from this hostel. I booked a private room, not a dorm, but when I arrived they told me there was no room for me and the property wasn't in the right condition. Earlier that day, the hosts had tried to charge my bank card even though they knew I had no room. They were extremely rude, and I found the whole thing fraudulent. Update: after looking into the incident, Booking.com asked the property to compensate me, but they refused. The card details I'd provided had worked for other Booking.com reservations. The owners never asked me for details for another card, and I didn't know there was a payment problem until after I refused to be moved to a different property instead of the one I'd booked. I can't describe what it was like trying to find somewhere to stay in Caparica with no reservation. They could leave you on the street like a dog. Don't book with them.

The room was under 5 square meters, and this house has tight, narrow stairs that aren't suitable for families. The surroundings smelled bad and were full of garbage. Around 20 people share one toilet. The place was dirty, cramped, and poorly maintained, and the pictures on the website felt misleading. There are plenty of good, cheap hotels nearby, so be careful booking through bookin. The owner also asked for a 180 euro deposit after we arrived and, in the end, wouldn't return it, giving several reasons.

The house is comfortable and in a great spot, and the prices are good. The owners and staff really made the stay, though. They're lovely, organized, and quick to respond whenever you need something. Fully recommend it!

The kitchen has everything you need, and the beach is very close. It's a clean, well-kept hostel, though the room was tiny and the scent was much too strong.
