Wyndham Grand Algarve Quinta do Lago Hotel

We came during a torrential storm, which the locals said was quite unusual, and the heated indoor pool was fabulous. The spa areas were well kept, though the sauna was only 60-70 degrees. The whole place was clean and maintained well, and the cleaning staff did an outstanding job. There’s free underground parking, with no validation needed. Breakfast was top notch, with lots of choices and an omelette bar. The staff were friendly and quick to respond when we needed something. One of the two restaurants is open most of the time and has a bar with cider on tap. The other, XXL, was a great experience, though a bit pricey for most nights. We’ll be back!

We booked a short birthday stay at Wyndham Grand Algarve, and the team made it memorable. The suite was spacious, well maintained, and just as expected. Breakfast offered a wide selection, and we enjoyed the spa facilities. My only disappointment is that we didn’t stay longer. We arrived early, and the staff looked after our luggage so we could have lunch at the bar. The lady who checked us in gave excellent service, then came over to let us know when the suite was ready, earlier than expected. Our bags had already been taken up while we ate. Vitor showed us to the suite and shared key hotel information. Ella from Guest Relations had helped arrange a birthday surprise before we arrived, and it was delivered to our room and very well received. I wish I’d noted everyone’s names, from check-in and the door greeters to the bar, breakfast, and spa teams, so I could thank them again. I hope the teams see this review.

The spa is worth making time for, especially the deep tissue massage. We also really liked the bar for a casual bite or a drink after dinner, and breakfast was great. Our Sunset Suite was modern, tastefully furnished, and equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, too. We stayed four nights with our daughter and everything felt to a superb standard. The staff were attentive without hovering, and a pleasure to deal with. Joana Silva, the hotel manager, gave us a warm welcome and deserves credit for such a good team. A great stay, and we’ll be back.

We’ve stayed at this wonderful hotel many times over the years, and it keeps delivering. On arrival the staff are always smiling and welcoming, and they couldn’t be more helpful. The suites are immaculate and have everything you could want. The buffet breakfasts are among the best I’ve tried, and Jorge makes the best omelettes, with a fun chat thrown in. We also enjoy the lunch and dinner menus, and the outdoor pool is a lovely place to relax. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance, so it’s a great base. Thanks to everyone at Wyndham Grand Algarve for making our stays so special and enjoyable. Hope to come back soon.
