We had the place almost entirely to ourselves, apart from seeing a few workers in the mornings. Since it was outside peak season, we arrived without a booking, paid very little, and were given the key. The staff who keep everything going are one of a kind, just wonderful!

We only spent one night here, but the rooms were comfortable and really clean, and checking in was easy. I’d happily recommend staying longer.

This was a great last-minute getaway find. Breakfast was just right, especially the locally made honey, and the staff were excellent. Everything was clean and well organised. We’ll definitely come back.

The tennis court was still being built, and the table tennis wasn’t usable, according to the woman at reception. That was disappointing, but the noise was the bigger problem. We came with our two daughters to relax, and another group had a loud party that went on late, which we really disliked. We called the owner that night to complain, and he offered either a late checkout or a free night as compensation. In the morning, the receptionist said neither was possible because there were no rooms available. I wouldn’t want to return.

It’s peaceful, the house has lots of space and the pool is nice. A little more attention to upkeep and cleaning outside would improve the place. Nothing major.
