The oil was what brought me to this Lagar last December. I bought two liters to try, and ended up having a lovely chat with Senhora Maria Alcinda, who owns the place. If you know olive oil and how it’s made, you can tell pretty quickly this is really good quality. It’s one of the best oils I’ve tasted, maybe even the best. Since I live abroad, I took more back with me, and also wanted some for family and friends who appreciate a product this good. I bought another 11 liters, and everyone has loved it so far. Highly recommended, and the owner is very friendly too. I’ll buy more when I’m back and need it.

The unfiltered olive oil is excellent quality and keeps all its benefits. They welcomed us very warmly in French. You need to call when you arrive so the lady can come out and greet you. I’ll be back!

There’s a good selection beyond the excellent, well-priced olive oil, including honey, vinegar, and blueberry liqueur. The property is isolated, so you’ll need GPS to find it, and if the gate is shut, call to get in. The owner gave us a very warm welcome, and speaks excellent French for anyone visiting from France. Thanks again for the kindness.

The owner speaks fluent French, and the products are good quality at competitive prices, from oil to liqueurs and honey. Well worth a visit. I highly recommend them.
