From the hotel, the bay views are spectacular, and the reception staff are very friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the location is a real advantage, right in the heart of Angra do Heroísmo. Breakfast is standard. There’s no hotel parking, so you’ll need to leave the car on the street or in a public lot. I recommend this hotel.

I spent a month there and the location was amazing for the samjoaninhas. The service was great, the breakfast excellent, and the cleaning excellent too. Sonia villas was a great help, and they helped in every way they could. I really recommend this hotel to everyone. Dona Ilda is a great person, and Carlos on the night shift was amazing. I’d give them all a 10 plus. 🫶

The mattress was awful, I could feel every spring. Breakfast was sparse: bread, lunch meat, orange juice, and a wheat drink that tasted like coffee. The place was surprisingly clean, thanks to the one maid who was there every day. She kept everything spotless, spoke good English, and could help you find anything. It looked like she was running the hotel alone, and she did a great job.

The room wasn’t cleaned each day, though they brought clean towels daily. The bathroom had dirty mildew all over, and they didn’t refill the toilet paper even after we asked. We ended up buying our own. We wouldn’t stay there again. The only bright spot was an employee named Sonia. She did everything she could to make our stay as good as possible.

The sights are beautiful, the food and drinks are awesome, and the people are unbelievably friendly wherever you go. It’s about four hours from Boston. Practically everyone speaks English or tries so hard that we can understand each other. Totally heaven on earth, definitely one for the bucket list.
