The staff made this stay especially easy. Fluberto gave us useful advice for our first hike, and Lisandra found us a great bilingual taxi driver, Vasco, and helped arrange a late checkout. We also met Jeff and his lovely dog, Whiskey, and it’s clear he’s put a lot of care into the place. We picked the hotel as a base for hiking on Terceira, since it’s near Monte Brasil, the harbour, and plenty of restaurants. Pharmacies and shops are close too, and there’s a delicious bakery and a themed restaurant in the same building, both busy with locals. Our room was clean and nicely put together, with tasteful colours and furniture. The bed was firm, a bit too firm for me, though others might like it. The local Azorean soaps and shampoos were a nice touch. Tap water is drinkable, and they still left a bottle and glasses. There was a working safe and USB-A and USB-C outlets, handy for visitors from outside the EU. The lobby is minimalist, clean, and nicely decorated. The elevator worked smoothly, though it’s small, as European hotel elevators often are, and you can use the stairs too. There are a couple of steps from the entrance into the lobby, and I’m not sure whether they can provide an accessible option like a ramp. All the staff were kind, thoughtful, and helpful. I’d stay here again.

The little touches made this feel so much like home. Malooca Delights bakery and The Texan restaurant are right in the same building, which made the stay feel complete. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with coffee and tea available throughout the day. We made such good memories here. It’s a beautiful, comfortable hotel downtown, very close to the marina, and the service was wonderful. Jeff, the inspiring owner, and the rest of the team welcomed us with so much warmth. They’re lovely, caring people who really pay attention to their guests. We already miss them and all those thoughtful details.

I stayed for a week and would happily come back. The hotel has its own restaurant and bakery, so everything’s right there, and breakfast is included in a lovely, cozy dining room. It’s a brand new place that mixes an authentic feel with modern touches. I’ve stayed at a couple of other hotels in the Azores, and this was my best stay. Clean, elegant, intimate, functional, and very nicely decorated. You won’t be disappointed. It feels a level above the other places I tried on the island.

The breakfast tasted good, though it got a little predictable, and figuring out the coffee machine took barista skills. My first-floor room was newly decorated, really nice, and had great sound insulation.

We could walk everywhere from this spot, which made the location perfect for us. The hotel was above the Texan and Malooca coffee shop and bakery, so having those right downstairs was lovely. The whole stay exceeded what we expected. The decor was great, everything felt comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, and the staff made us feel welcome. We’ll definitely stay here again.
