The porch was my favorite part, with its barbecue and stone table looking out over Sistelo and the surrounding landscape. Inside, there’s a large living room and kitchen downstairs, with a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The sofa bed means four people can stay comfortably. It’s an old house, once the village bakery, that’s been fully restored. It isn’t luxurious, but it has the conveniences you need for a pleasant few days.

A lovely house in an interesting spot, especially suited to anyone who enjoys nature. Just know that the church bell rings every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
