Varanda de S. Jorge - Apartments

The breakfast was good, and the place feels peaceful. The studio is fantastic, with lovely views of the pools and mountains. Antonieta was wonderful with us and made guests feel at ease. It’s pet friendly, though there are still restrictions on bringing pets into the restaurant area at breakfast.

The apartment was very clean and hygienic. It has a kitchen with a coffee machine, mini fridge, stove, and various things for cooking if you want to. This was our first time here, and I’d definitely come back. I recommend it.

Parking is a hassle because the access is too narrow. Inside, there were ants in the room, stains on the mattress and sheets, and a dirty kitchen shelf, so you can’t be too fussy about cleanliness. The place itself is quiet and pleasant.

The cold was the main issue for me. The heating wasn’t on when we arrived, so walking in felt like stepping into a refrigerator. There’s no heating in the bathroom either, and on cold days the temperature shift once the room has warmed up is awful. There’s a capsule coffee machine, but no sugar or complimentary coffee. The apartments and studios are quiet and well equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator, air conditioning, and a nice terrace. The pool, café, and parking are on site, and it’s just 10 minutes from the center of Arcos de Valdevez.
