Well kept throughout, with beautiful gardens and a really nice pool. The breakfast is good too. It’s an amazing hotel in the countryside near Lisbon, with lovely, spacious rooms. Highly recommended.

Quinta da Santa Maria is in Arruda dos Vinhos, a village with good restaurants, beautiful monuments and nice walking routes, so make sure to visit. We had a wonderful week at the hotel. The beds were great, the apartments were clean and stayed cool even though Portuguese summer temperatures can reach 40 C. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were cleaned every day. We loved the breathtaking views over fields and hills, and were especially glad we could bring our dog. It’s dog friendly and just 30 minutes by car from Lisbon. I really recommend it to everyone, a hidden Portuguese treasure!

We got there late, but they still brought us freshly warmed bread and Manchego-like cheese, along with a fabulous red wine. And a smile!

A fantastic spot, cosy and well located close to the highway. The staff are nice, the amenities are good, and there’s a swimming pool, an electric pin gate and plenty of parking.

A really beautiful, romantic place to stay. Too bad the swimming pool was closed when we booked.
