We’d definitely stay again. The restaurant served great food and drinks, and breakfast was good too. Staff were excellent, spoke several languages fluently, and were very willing to help. From this central spot, we could walk to all the main sights.

The owner and friendly staff make you feel as if you’re staying with family. It’s a small, charming hotel in a great spot, with lovely restaurants and bars nearby. The rooms are small, but thoughtfully designed.

I liked how simple the hotel was, though I didn’t quite understand the room-name idea. Instead of numbers, the rooms have Portuguese names. Mine was “train station.” If you don’t speak Portuguese, the handwritten lettering makes it pretty hard to match the names to the doors.

Great location and very clean, but the air conditioning kept stopping every hour, so I couldn’t sleep at night. I asked the front desk to fix it. She said she had, but the problem was still there. There wasn’t any soap either, as it hadn’t been refilled, and we realized too late.
