The location was okay, but the place looked nothing like its online photos. Inside and outside the room were in really poor shape, and I left instead of staying the night. I was surprised it was self-service, though I actually liked that part. I wouldn't recommend it. Stay away.

We had four people in a family room for two nights, and it was bigger than many reviews make it sound. The bathroom seemed new, and our stay was pleasant. There's a small breakfast included at a nearby place, so it was good value. Just bring earplugs, the building gets noisy.

The central spot in Aveiro was the one good thing. The room wasn't dirty, but the booking-site photos may be of the suites rather than the standard rooms, so don't rely on them. Nobody was around to help, and when we called, the operator hung up as soon as we spoke English. Breakfast was meant to be included, but we never got it. In January the heating didn't work, and we were cold all night.

The room was filthy, with greasy floors and stains on the walls and sheets that clearly hadn't been washed. The shower was rusty and dirty, barely worked, and wouldn't drain properly. The old photos are misleading, and there's no kitchen or common area anymore. The building has been decaying for a long time. This place should be closed.

The check-in machine worked fine for my friends, and the place felt safe and secure right in the centre. It's handy for one night, though the rooms seem to vary a lot.
