Lisbon Country Villa

Such an amazing place. We loved the rooms, the pool, the dogs, the setting and the breakfast. It's great for relaxing and enjoying nature away from the city. For couples, I'd suggest booking the apartment with the circular shower room. We booked through booking.com and got self check-in codes, which made arrival really efficient and flexible.

The manager was really friendly and helpful. We hadn't realized there would be no coffee, so he brought us coffee and milk from his own supply. The room was huge and the beds were comfortable, and for a fairly inexpensive stay, it felt like good value. Still, it was much too hot, there were no curtains so passersby could see straight inside, and with the bedroom doors closed off for other guests, we could hear them as if they were in our room.

Breakfast was delicious, and the villa sits in a lovely, quaint spot away from the busy city. It's easy to reach by Uber, or by bus and metro. The villa is spacious, but there was a strong musty, moldy smell, so we had to sleep with the windows and doors open. We also found ants and spiders in the room.

We had a lovely time at the villa. The views were beautiful, and the place was cute, with a small kitchen that came in handy. The shower was nice, with two sprayers and great water pressure. They changed our towels every day and made the beds, which we appreciated. The beds themselves were a bit hard, and the art wasn't really to my taste. We could hear the neighbor's dog barking quite a lot, so soundproofing wasn't great. It's off the beaten path and not really close to anything, but it was very affordable for our large group and good value.
