There’s a slight smell of mold at first, perhaps because the house stays closed for long periods. You stop noticing after a little while, and it isn’t a real issue. Otherwise, this is a lovely little house just outside Batalha on a quiet road, with a private courtyard. It sleeps four, but a couple would have the whole place to themselves. Inside, the kitchen is large and nice, and the bathroom has been renovated beautifully. Outside there’s plenty of room, with a dining table, a covered spot with chairs for relaxing in the late afternoon, and even a barbecue and oven. You can park the car inside. I can’t recommend it enough. Five stars!

A large courtyard is all yours, with a covered shed decorated with old village items. It’s very peaceful, with nobody around to disturb you. The rural house is charmingly renovated with lots of attention to detail, while keeping its authentic feel.

The big patio and porch are lovely, and there’s a barbecue you can move around wherever you like. The house is charming, quaint, and very clean, with two bedrooms, though the second one was locked during our stay. There’s easily room for two cars. It’s about 1 km from Batalha, 20 km from Fatima, and 30 km from Nazareth. Pets are allowed, which is good to know. Highly recommended.
