It’s a fantastic, very comfortable place. Breakfast wasn’t my favorite, but there’s a kitchen where you can bring your own food, which is great. It’s far from everything else, though having a car makes sense in Alto alentejo anyway. The rail bikes are nearby and worth a trip.

We loved the decor and the charm of this guesthouse in a picturesque village, right next to Marvao. It used to be a train station, which gives the place a magical, enchanting feel. The kids had a blast playing on the tracks and exploring around the village. Our neighbors were three storks and a flock of sheep, and the clear night sky was full of thousands of stars. The staff and owners are kind, friendly, and helpful. We loved our stay.

The owner was easygoing and nice. We got the dates mixed up and arrived a day before our booking, but they still had a room for us. We had a great evening and a fine breakfast the next morning. The old train station felt magical and mysterious. We spent most of the evening alone in the common room, which is set up in the station’s waiting room. It was remarkable, and I’d like to come back.

I had to work remotely for a day, and the common area was perfect, with tables, good WiFi, and outlets. The accommodations were wonderful, breakfast was delicious, and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I’m really glad I found this place and will be back.

Beautifully decorated, very clean, and a great price. We had a bedroom with an extra bed for our four-year-old, while my wife and I shared the king-size bed with our newborn. I’m a big guy and there was still plenty of room. Breakfast is included, too. Great for families, and I definitely recommend it.
