The owner is friendly and attentive, and you can ask her for a hairdryer if you need one. The room is cozy and charming, with a great view. It’s simple and a little old-fashioned, but clean, comfortable, and well equipped with towels, toilet paper, shampoo, air conditioning, and a TV. It was very quiet and relaxing, with a warm, homey feel.
The black pork was good, as was the shrimp omelette. We had a glass of wine in the dining area before eating, though unfortunately we couldn’t have our meal on the lovely shaded patio under the walnut trees. The restaurant was recommended by the woman working in the souvenir shop at the castle, and it’s right outside the castle. There used to be an old distillery here. It’s no longer operating, but the equipment is still inside.
The complete lunch menu is only €8 on weekdays, Monday to Friday, and was pretty good. We had grelhada mista. I wouldn’t recommend the seafood rice.
The views are good, the food is amazing and nicely presented, and the people working there are nice. It’s always a good place to eat, whether you’re with family or just friends.
We only asked whether there was a free table for two for lunch, and the woman was really rude. There was a table for two available, but she kept saying, “CAN’T YOU see I only have round tables!?” She was really aggressive and obnoxious. I definitely don’t recommend it 😔.
