Casa Augusta 4

I was bitten by bedbugs, an awful experience. I believe this place is infested with bedbugs and toxic products. I even heard children crying, and I’m sure they were being bitten too. I spent 70 euros at the pharmacy and also paid for treatment for infections. Casa Augusta 4 has more hostels and guest houses, and I believe they all have bedbugs and toxic products. Owners, go back to your country and get out of Portugal. This is not Brazil. Go away and stop money laundering.

I stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. The hostel was very good, the rooms and beds were neat and clean, and the staff were really friendly 🫰

Amazing!

Terrible, the worst experience I’ve ever had. When I arrived, there was a musty smell and the place seemed unhygienic. I was in room A, and as soon as I lay down, giant bedbugs started biting me. From their size, it seemed they’d been there a long time. I switched beds, but that was jumping from the frying pan into the fire, since the new one had even more bugs. I tried lying on the floor, hoping I wouldn’t get bitten again, but there were bedbugs in the blankets and along the skirting boards too. The attacks continued until I fled the room and lay down on a bench in the common room. That was that or spend the night outside in the cold. From what I can see, this bedbug problem has been going on for over two months without the owners taking proper precautions. It’s shameful, and a public health or police matter. I wouldn’t advise anyone to rent a room here.
