CasaNova Farmhouse

We planned three nights with our two young kids and rental car, then extended to seven. That turned out to be the best call. After about half a day, the hostess already had us feeling at home and among friends. She’s kind, open, attentive, helpful, and a real go-getter, often anticipating what you need and suggesting things before you ask. She keeps track of every guest, and we felt especially well cared for with the children. Her two dogs are sweet, cuddly, and lovely with little kids. The breakfast room has a great feel, with individually restored old chairs and tables, exposed stone, an open roof truss, and a huge window looking out to nature. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious: locally sourced or homemade bread, croissants, and jams, eggs cooked fresh to order, fruit, yogurt, and good coffee. We started each day well fed and relaxed. The farmhouse itself has real charm. Its old beams, walls, and stone floors have been carefully restored alongside modern touches. The pool was great for cooling off, and the comfortable loungers were perfect for relaxing in the sun. Our family apartments were new, modern, and well equipped. We stayed in two different ones after extending, and both were great, though each is a little different. Some have two bedrooms plus two full bathrooms. The mattresses were superb, the smart TV made it easy to connect our devices, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, induction stove, and capsule coffee machine. For us, the setting near Braga worked perfectly. We felt out in the countryside between villages, while Braga and essentials like supermarkets and a laundromat were only five minutes away. Porto was about 45 minutes by car, the sea around 20 minutes, and the nature reserve roughly 30 minutes. Everything about the stay was wonderful. Thanks for an exceptional week. We know we’ll return.
