We booked this budget motel for an overnight stop while travelling from the UK to Portugal, with our dog along too. It suited what we needed, and the whole setup is built around privacy. You don’t need to get out of your car or meet reception, everything happens out of sight. There’s a garage where you can keep yourself and your car hidden, private access to the room, and a balcony with no neighbours looking in. Even transactions are handled in the room through a mobile turnstile. The TV has adult channels too. It could suit someone shy or a family like the Adams Family, and, well, you get the idea if you want to meet “someone” without a spouse prying. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

The noise carries straight through the walls. You can hear everything the neighbours are doing.

The room looked presentable, and the cleanliness was reasonable. The issue came in the morning, when the staff made a lot of noise and we could hear conversations in the corridors. I felt they could have shown more consideration.

I really like coming here when my partner and I want a night away. It’s a pleasant, peaceful place to spend 24 hours. The room is clean, warm, and smells lovely, and the staff are impeccable, always ready to help. I’ll definitely be back.
