Old City Guest House is a characterful historic home right in Braga’s old town. The owner renovated it himself, and his lovely daughter Ines runs the place. We found it clean, bright, comfortable, and spacious, with plenty of its own character. If you want a locally owned place with that kind of feel, this family-run guest house is a great choice.

The staff made our three-night stay, especially with two young kids in tow. They were fantastic and always willing to help, and the bunk beds in our room worked perfectly for a family. The place is right in the centre, within walking distance of everything. We had a lovely time and would definitely return.

Ines was so welcoming, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and had air conditioning. Old City Guest House is right in the centre, which made the location really convenient. I’d highly recommend staying here.

I’m giving one star for the way we were treated while trying to make a reservation. What a shame. In reply to your question: Seeing how you treated us before we’d even stayed was enough. I’m glad we didn’t end up booking. All the best.

Inês was friendly and helpful, upgraded our room for free, and gave us lots of tips on what to see and where to go. Breakfast was very good, the internet was fast, and the location is right in the heart of the old city. I loved this little Guest House for our short break in Braga. The name says it all, and it’s a lovely place for a couple of days away.
