It’s a quiet, peaceful place and a good base for exploring Braga and the north. The rooms are lovely and clean, and the owner has been friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of wood for the woodstove, the bread brought to us in the mornings was very good, and the showers were good too.

It’s a very nice place, but the owner Miguel is extremely stingy. He actually told me to go buy a bin bag myself when the bin was full, and came by every day to remind us to switch off the lights. I wouldn’t go back.

We had a wonderful weekend at this peaceful, almost magical Quinta, surrounded by nature, plants, and so many trees, especially the orange trees, which I love. The old house has a long history and takes you back to the past. We came with our dog, and there was also a little goat there that we nicknamed Josefino. He was beautiful and very sweet, and loved oranges. We’ll definitely come back. Many thanks to menino Carlos, who was always attentive and ready to help.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was lovely. This is a spectacular place for a few days in an authentic setting full of history. The facilities are excellent and comfortable, with everything you need to stay at the Quinta if you prefer. For exploring, some of Portugal’s best destinations are within reach, including Braga, Guimarães, Porto, and Apulia. Highly recommended.
