I went to this restaurant for the first time to buy leitão, and it was a huge letdown. The piglet was so tiny one person could have eaten the whole thing. It had no flavor, and the skin was rubbery, almost like it had been roasted days earlier. The fries were bagged, store-brand ones from Continente or Pingo Doce, served in a Casa dos Frangos bag. It cost a lot, which felt like a rip-off. The whole experience struck me as disrespectful and unprofessional. I won’t be back.

The leitão I bought for New Year’s Eve was a real disappointment. It had no taste and wasn’t crispy at all, and it came with packaged fries. Very poor for the price, which was high.

I ordered leitão for 1 pm, but every 20 minutes someone told me it would take another 20. I finally left at 2 pm. On top of the wait, the meat was partly raw and quite fatty. Awful.

A family-run guesthouse with rooms that are kept in good shape and excellent service. Breakfast is the usual sort of spread, but it’s tasty too. A good fit for business travelers.
