The beds are very comfortable, and the quiet atmosphere made for good sleep. The spa is good, with excellent sauna and Turkish baths. I did wonder where we were meant to dry our swimwear, towels and bathrobes after using the spa, since there wasn’t a single hook or radiator in the room. Breakfast felt rather poor for a 4-star hotel: just a basic selection of ham, cheese and pastries. No fresh juice, fresh vegetables or healthy food, only salty and sugary options 🙄.

The room was spotless and spacious, with a great view of Bom Jesus de Monte and really comfortable bedding. I booked through Expedia and messaged the hotel directly; they responded quickly. The staff were accommodating, the spa was clean with lovely views, and the attached restaurant was lovely too, with stunning views over Braga. There’s no room service. Breakfast was included, but the selection was so limited that I stopped having it after the second day. I went in with low expectations and was truly impressed, especially given the amazing price. My main complaint was the air conditioning: even after turning it down from 21°C to 11°C, the room stayed stubbornly at 25°C, which made sleeping difficult.

Right by the basilica, so the location is great. The room seemed newly renovated and every detail was spot on, with an amazing view, a great shower and a perfect bed. Reception staff were friendly at check-in late at night and again in the morning. Breakfast was good, with plenty of options and an okay variety.

The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and well maintained, but it was the team that made my stay so memorable. Valeria set a lovely tone at check-in with her kind, professional welcome. Luis was incredibly attentive and helpful on the night shift. At checkout, João and another fantastic staff member whose name I unfortunately missed were just as friendly, professional and welcoming. I felt very well looked after throughout my stay, which exceeded all expectations. I’ll definitely come back with my family so they can experience the same hospitality. Five stars all the way!

The pool outside felt romantic with the basilica bells ringing. Staff were very friendly, and the room was a good size. Nice breakfast too. Recommended!
